Carrot Pineapple Smoothie
Fresh pineapple, banana, carrot, and orange juice blended with ice. Bright, tropical, and surprisingly creamy — a great way to get vegetables in at breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
- 1 cup ice
- 2/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 1 banana
Instructions
- Place the pineapple, ice, orange juice, chopped carrot, and banana in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and frothy.
- Pour and serve immediately.
Notes
- Carrot: Chop the carrot into small pieces so the blender can process it fully without straining the motor.
- Frozen banana: If you freeze the banana first, you can reduce or skip the ice and get a creamier result.
- Fresh pineapple: Fresh pineapple gives a much brighter flavour than canned. If using canned, drain well.
- Ginger: A small piece of fresh ginger (about 1/2 inch) blended in adds a lovely warmth.
